Hi
I want to use a SSR to control sound.
But I totally got confused.
The first thing that I want to turn off and on a speaker based on a pulse which is produced by Arduino.
the sound generator is also generating sound with the frequency of 2 kHz.
so two pins of sir should be connected to Arduino, one should be connected to the output of sound generator and the other one should be connected to the the input of speaker.
In the spec of SSR, the output voltage should be AC?
which type of SSR should I use?
Second, I have connected MPDCD3 to Arduino. whenever the pulse of triggering it became high the output became high and never became low although the triggering pin was not high anymore. what is going wrong here?
A solid state relay can turn on and off something that connected to the mains. It can not be used for a speaker, unless it has been specially designed for that.
I'm not trying to sound 'ugly' here, but if you can't figure out where arduino would do it's control in that example I provided, you are definitely not ready for the project you decided to attempt.
You hopefully can deduce that this circuit is what you were asking for. Especially since AC mains SSR's also use an LED for on/off control. Can you find the LED in this diagram?
If you look closely, you will see an LED optically coupled with a light dependent resistor.
