stacking h bridges

I have no time to buy different h bridges and my dc needs more current than my h bridge provides. I do however have a spare h bridge, one is a l293dne and the other one l293d. Can I just stack one on the other so the pins connect and the current doubles?

It might work. but top one might need heat sink.

few things I never heard;-

no time to eat no time to sleep

today I learn "no time to buy", learn new thing every day. :P

It has been said in the past that bipolar transistor based h-bridges may not equally share the load between themselves. Might be worth a try to see how well it would work.
