I have some parts and wanted to build a stand alone arduino board but I dont have the 22pf capacitors thats normally required, the closest values I have are far from 22pf I have 0.22nf.
What would happen if I used those instead of the 22pf?

The crystal won’t run right and the Arduino won’t either. The value on those particular caps is pretty specific.
ok then I guess ill need to source them then, I was expecting a work around (using different values).
If you don’t need 16MHz and 8MHz will do you can set it up to run on the internal oscillator. No caps necessary (or crystal).
I would love to do that I just need 50hz Im trying to do a SPWM build
