standalone arduino with lcd

i’ve been trying to construct a standalone arduino with an lcd attached… this is the circuit that i made and the code i’ve written is…

LiquidCrystal lcd(10, 7, 3, 4, 5, 6);

void setup() {

lcd.clear();lcd.begin(16, 2);lcd.clear();lcd.setCursor(0,0);

Try following the LCD Tutorial exactly as shown.
