I'm running the Yun off the VIN pin off a battery pack with a total of 10,000 mAh. (4x 1.2v 2500mAh Ni-Mh batteries in series)
I've heard the Yun uses about 250mAh. (Can this be verified?) I'm getting about 10,000 / 250 = 40 hours of theoretical uptime.
Does there exist a small 5v 50,000mAh battery pack that will fit in a rather small enclosure with my Yun?
(6" x 3" x 2")
Preferably something square and Li-Po or Ni-Mh?
Yun did not design for battery operate and has no PMICs .
TPlink TL-MR10U which has same CPU AR9331 as Yun, with 2600 mAh 18650 battery, will last 7-8 hours.
The heart of PMICs (Power Management ICs ) is LTC4088 - High Efficiency Battery Charger/USB Power Manager.

TPlink TL-MR10U come with 32MiB Ram and 4MiB Flash, I have it hardware mod to 64MiB/16MiB (same as Yun) and connect MCU to UART port of TL-MR10U. We are in the business.
Very interesting! Thisll keep me busy for the next couple days!
