Standard Transmitter and reciever

Hi, I am new to arduino . i have only made a simple obstacle avoiding robot using arduino. Now i have built a offroad tank and i want to make it remote controlled.I bought this one http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9042 so guyz please help me how to connect the reciever to arduino and where should i start with programming the transmitter and arduino

if I remember that's not going to work to measure servo impulses because they are about 2 microseconds in length and pulseIn can only measure pulses down to 10 us.

If they're standard R/C pulses, you're three orders of magnitude out - centre pulse length is usually around 1.5milliseconds.
