stepper center tap

I have a six wire stepper that doesn't want to cooperate, i.e. finding the center taps. After isolating the coils, every combination equals 11 ohms. What am I doing wrong?

After isolating the coils

What do you mean by this?

With 6 wires you should only find pairs that are connected.

The six wires are divided electrically into two, three wire groups. Within each group, I tested the ohms, for example; brown, black, and orange. They all are 11.0. Shouldn't one be twice the other two?

Hello,

Do you have the manfacturer or model no of your stepper?

Maybe you can post a photo ?

If what you measure is correct, there seems to be no center tap in you motor...

Yes it should. However, meters are often not too accurate at these values. If you think about it you measurements are suggesting the coils are arranged in a delta. If that is true then these are not stepping motors at all.
