stepper motor control

I'm using an Arduino UNO and an H-Bridge in order to control a bipolar stepper motor. How would I go about changing the step speed from an initial value of 10 steps/s to 100 steps/s over a 1 second time interval. I know how to set the steps on the stepper motor but what gets me is how to linearly increase the steps from 10 to 100 in a 1 second time period. Thanks.
