Hi,
I am looking for a stepper motor driver board that can be controlled from an arduino. I have had a look at a few options and are currently using the adafruit motor shield V2 which is very good but the latest project calls for a motor that requires more power than the shield can supply.
Motor specs:
Rated voltage = 24v;
Motor type unipoloar configured as bipolar;
phase resistance (in bipolar configuration) = 2.4 ohms.
The motor will be current limited to about 2 -3 amps.
Requirements for the controller:
A current limiter would be nice but not essential;
needs to be able to do micro-stepping that is software configurable (so that i can control it from the arduino)
I have looked at units from Pololu and have also used the easy stepper driver board (and its bigger brother) but these do not handle the required power of the current motor.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.
Cheers.
