stepper motor+easydriver

Hi, I am new at this and not the most handy. I am working with a stepper motor from sparkfun ROB-09238 and the easydriver V4.2. Also following the schema that I found from brian schmalz:

the problem is that this afternoon I made the motor move. Then I tried again this evening, and I get light (so power) in the easydriver and of course also in the arduino, but the motor does not work anymore.

I read that I should connect or disconnect the motor while the power supplier is on, but I read it too late! Is it posible that I damaged the easydriver?? If so, why does it still have light on? Does not affect the fact of being damaged? If not damaged, where is the problem? I build my schema exactly the same as the one from the webside!!! thanks

Hi,

Caution: Do not connect or disconnect a motor while the driver is energized. This will cause permanent damage to the A3967 IC.

Possibly, you have fogotten "not" in your sentence... but you shouldn't connect / disconnet the Motor while Power on...
