Hello, I have recently bought a new stepper motor for a project I am working on. This is a geared stepper motor seen here
http://www.robotshop.com/en/12v-17a-416oz-geared-bipolar-stepper-motor.html#Useful Links
It has a rear shaft which turns when powered on but the front shaft does not attempt to move at all. Is this likely a problem with my wiring or with the motor its self? The other stepper motor I used worked fine when wired properly.
Thank you for any advice

Sounds like a problem with the gear box.

Is that something that can easily be fixed? or should I return my motor. Today is the first time using it.

So you wired it up, the code runs, when it runs the above is seen?
I would contact the supplier, tell them one shaft turns the other will not, get a RMA#, then send it back.

It has an approx 200:1 ratio - I bet the output shaft is turning, but very slowly.
