Stepper Motor Nema 34 with photoelectric sensors

Hi guys,
I have bipolar stepper motor nema 34 and i want to drive it with arduino and photoelectric sensors. I think that i can't use L298 because my motor is powerful. Its torque is 13Nm. Would you like help me with some scheme?
Thank you!

Start by reading Stepper Motor Basics. It will give you basic background info.

You need to identify the current that is required by your motor and then choose a stepper motor driver that can supply that current. Gecko and Leadshine are two brands that provide high current drivers.

Most of the stepper drivers can be controlled with an Arduino.

The L298 is a h-bridge driver and h-bridges are a very poor choice for driving stepper motors.
