Stepper motor or brushless?

Im trying to figure out how to run this motor. I originally thought ot was a stepper motor, but now it appears to be a brushless dc motor.

The pinouts read
Vcc
FGSout
/DEC
/ACC
GND

Obviously Vcc and GND are power. Can someone tell me what the other wires do?

You can see the motor at https://postimg.org/image/cm4m1x4nf/5b44d847/#.V84Ws3Goy2I.gmail

can you provide other details like brand, parts code. but i think it is a stepper motor.

Well the description pretty clearly says that it's a stepper. And it also has an obvious motor-control chip in the photos.

I think it is a stepper but with an integrated driver. Just sending it step pulses on /ACC will probably make it turn.

FGS Flux Gate Sensor ?
DEC Decelerate ?
ACC Accelerate ?

Its clearly not a stepper motor per se, its a complete subsystem including a motor and a control board. Some
hands-on research is needed to be sure.

I guess I'll just have to start hooking up wires and see where it leads. Just a quick fyi, the shell of the motor rotates with the shaft. there is some sort of bearings attached to the board and the motor spins on both sides of the board. Never seen anything like it.

It looks like a pancake motor.

24VDC, it says
