Stepper motors or hub motors

Hello people, so i am working on a self driving cart, something the size of a hospital bed, I am looking at a total load of 150kg (mass of structure and load), and I am wondering if Nema17 or Nema23 stepper motor can be used, or a Hub motor from hoverboards. Which will you recommend I use, and what do you think I will need for this interesting project?

Stepper motors are very inefficient, and not at all suitable for such a project.

so who knows how i can connect hub motor cables to a motor driver and, in turn, to an arduino uno to drive a big size arduino line following car?

I have merged your topics due to them having too much overlap on the same subject matter @sampor.

In the future, please only create one topic for each distinct subject matter and be careful not to cause them to converge into parallel discussions.

The reason is that generating multiple threads on the same subject matter can waste the time of the people trying to help. Someone might spend a lot of time investigating and writing a detailed answer on one topic, without knowing that someone else already did the same in the other topic.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

ok , thanks

She's been document the building of a farm robot of roughly that size, along with building custom motor controllers for it, so you should find a lot of useful information in these links. I've also found that she's helpful and happy to answer questions.

thank you, highly appreciated
