Hope this isn't too noobish of a question. My stepper has a 27:1 gearbox attached to it coaxially. The stepper data sheet says 200 steps per revolution. Is that what's defined in the sketch or would it be 5400 (27*200)? Also, if half steps are enabled, are the steps per revolution doubled in the sketch definition? Thanks
200 steps per revolution is a common number for steppers. So I would use 5400 as you suggest. It's easy enough to test anyway. And yes, micro stepping will double that in this case.
