I've spent a few days on the arduino forums and tried everything they recommend to fix my issue and all though is seems that some people with the same issue i have have been successful i have not.
i have the arduino robot and while i have been able to connect it to my computer(s) and upload some sketches in the past now when i attempt to upload a new sketch i get the following error:
Found programmer: Id = "B¨j"; type =
Software Version =
avrdude: error: buffered memory access not supported. Maybe it isn't
a butterfly/AVR109 but a AVR910 device?
the arduino forums have suggested attempting to upload a simple sketch like 'blink' and to attempt pressing the reset button a various times. some users have suggested to change the 'programming' setting and other recommend disabling all other COM ports.
i've tried three different windows 7 machines [i would try linux also if i could get some help getting my ubuntu 12 to work]
i have tried everything i could find on those forums but i am making no progress, please help, i'm a teacher attempting to get students ready for a robot competition, thanks
some other information about my issue: i find that sometimes if i press the rest more than once or at just the right time the COM port i was using disappears and i must move the usb cord to a new usb port and i will not get the COM port back until i reset the computer.
