stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x56

I am using FT232R breakout for serial communication, interfaced it with Arduino Pro(5V, 16MHz). I selected respective board in Arduino tool, I am using COM11 as serial port(I updated the ftdi driver as well). When I try to upload the code onto the Arduino Pro, I am getting this error as shown below. I have checked connections as well and everything looks good.

Please suggest, I have checked out various posts but nothing worked out yet.

I had this problem when I was using serial on pins 0 and 1, instead of software serial, and leaving the serial connection plugged in while I was trying to upload. You can also try reinstalling the IDE.

Try the loop back test to identify where your problem is .
