Stop MIDI Pass thru

Hi

Needing some help with the Arduino Midi Library

The issue I'm having is that the incoming signal is being received buffered and then re-transmitted
This re-transmission is causing a feedback-loop are there anything i am missing.

It works absolutely fine when its sending MIDI data
The problem only occurs when it receives MIDI data

Attached is my sketch.
The delay was an attempt to locate what command is causing the loop
The code is taken from Notes and Volts and yes i want to keep using that code as the final project will use multiplexers. However i have read over the copies code and understand what its doing I just don't understand the cause if this issue.

Strip down your code and post the minimal sketch that shows the same behavior. Also make sure that there isn't a hardware problem.

The MIDI library has the turnThruOff function to turn off the software MIDI thru feature.

  MIDIUART.begin(MIDI_CHANNEL_OMNI);
  MIDIUART.turnThruOff();

Thank you.
Was getting frustrated and obviously skipped over that in the library documentation.
