Strange day, highs and lows

well, my 2014 Chevy Spark is already crapping out on me. it only has a little over 7000 miles on it! it started making kind of a rattling growl, but when it got worse, I took it to the dealer. they listened for about 30 seconds, and said I should probably turn it off. I just hope the warrantee covers whatever has gone wrong.
so after I got a ride back home, I check the mail, and got what I thought was a bill. turned out it was a check for $73, due to an over payment of a bill. it may not be much, but it sure brightened my day.

Something good following something bad always makes you feel better.

How long is the warranty on the vehicle?

Weedpharma

Most Chevy's run around 35000 miles or 5 years.

Free money always makes me feel better, but enough to cover mystery noises in the car ...?

Good luck man!

7000 miles per annum? :o
My GM warranty is 5 years / 100000 miles (good job too - I'm already on 88000)

Wow, two years and its dying?

Sure is some truth to "don't make em like they used to".

Never heard of the spark, so I went and checked it out. Please drive carefully.
What you have there is a delightfully cute little death trap.

Hi,

Yet another problem with a Chevrolet

And have you had all your recalls attended to?

Tom....
Looks like a nice car, have a KIA RIO here.

Hi,
Sounds a bit weird, the wrong pistons, but its in the internet so it must be true.

I know that there is a piston matching sequence that the assemblers used to do, because of tolerances in cylinder bore and piston diameter.
So a cylinder which is over sized, but in tolerance and a piston that is undersized, but in tolerance, might not be a good combination.

A short lived Spark . . . . seems almost fitting. Then if it's an electrical problem, even moreso.

Hi,

With all the recall and faulty component notices that have been floating around in the last five years, I seem to have dodged a bullet, touch wood.

... they didn't even offer a loaner.

Find a different shop!

I just bought a 2016 BMW 328D turbodiesel wagon, dealer demo with 5600 miles on it. Drives really nice. Great mileage too, 45-50 mpg when cruising to work.

Yes, like VW and their diesel problem.
They are buying back my 2014 turbodiesel sports wagon. So I went and got a 2016 BMW 328D Xdrive turbodiesel wagon to replace it, pay off a good chunk of the loan when VW sends out checks in October. Ultimate Driving Machine!
6 month old dealer demo, marked down a bunch for its 5700 miles - I'm liking it a lot after my first 1000 miles.

I wonder if they have a model 328P? (And if so, does it work with the IDE?)

@Travis ... flywheel is loose - that better be covered! :o

I have own four new cars and a couple of certified used cars. On the rare occasions when they broke down and was covered by the warranty the dealer has always offered a loaner. If they don't call the Chevy hotline. 1-800-222-1020

Check the insurance cover on loan cars. You basically agree to pay lots in the event of an accident.
