strange error message

I receive the following error message:

C:\Program Files\Arduino\hardware\arduino\avr\cores\arduino/main.cpp:35: undefined reference to `init'

collect2.exe: error: ld returned 1 exit status

exit status 1
Error compiling for board Arduino Pro or Pro Mini.

Line 35 in main.cpp calls a function init();

What does this mean?

Just befor I had another message similar, stating "no reference to delay(1000)," in an other header cpp. I commented it out, and the new error came with the init func.

Thanks for any help.

Try closing all Arduino IDE windows, then restart the Arduino IDE. That should clear the cache and hopefully solve the problem.

Thanks I`ll try that, !

Well I did a complete restart but the problem stays.

Now I did a complete new installation of Arduino 169, and its working finally after a whole week !

Thanks, all,
