Strange gibberish on temperature sensor (3.3v mini)

Hey guys, using the tmp36 sensor and code from the following page:

TMP36 Temperature Sensor

When I pull up the serial monitor I get gibberish as shown in the picture. Any idea why that might be? I'm on a macbook pro using a 3.3v trinket pro with a tmp36 sensor. Attached is an image that shows the characters. Thank you!

I suspect that your serial monitor settings (baud rate /parity/ stop bits) dont match those of your arduino.

That makes sense, I was playing with the baud rates and got some changes in the characters. I'll play around with the settings. Thank you.
