Originally posted a long story here with a problem. Just solved it myself. Let me save you lots of reading time and allow me to reveal the moral of the story right away. When working with arrays, make sure you do the declaration of it right and avoid addressing an array beyond the range that you declared, since it might cause all kinds of strange problems that you surely want to avoid.
