Hello - I'm interested in using market prices to determine volume of an audio sample, let's say the price of barley for example. To anyone's knowledge is this possible? I will be cross posting this in pure data and max forums...

HUH ? ! ?
using the price of barley to find out how load a sound file is ???
:o
I have no clue why you are trying to do this thing, but if you have an updated online source (website, rss-feed, etc.) that contains the price you want to use I could write you a php-script that on a regular basis extracts the price from the website (or other source) and sends it to your arduino.

I believe the original poster meant "to determine volume of an audio sample" as in "to set the volume of an audio sample" not "to read the volume of an audio sample".

P.S. But, you know, the other would be a neat trick too.
