Stress in mechanism

I would like to study stressess , strains in mechanism .which sensors avaiable which are compatible with arduino to get accurate results

Strain gauges. The sensor strips can be attached to any surface to measure dimensional changes.

The HX711 strain gauge amplifier is very useful with Arduino.

The strip gauges are passive sensors, so they require a power source, an amplifier, a computer interface and simple data processing. Any Arduino will work.

What do you want the stress measurement for?

Doesn't you University have the resources to inform you about stress measurement and strain gauges?
Use the University's facilities as much as possible, be seen to be doing R and D rather than just trawling the internet, looks better to your project coordinator.

If you have, or should have, a basic block diagram of your carpark project, can you post an image of it?
