Stupid 1.0 question...

In the beta IDE, you could hold the shift key down while compiling, and it would show you the make. How do I get the 1.0 IDE to do that?

Thanks...

In the Preferences menu (Alt-,) there are now 2 checkboxes that enable debugging messages during compilation (make) and also during uploading (avrdude).

The QuadRAM shield: add 512 kilobytes of external RAM to your Arduino Mega/Mega2560

Great, thank you!

I've also downloaded the latest version of the IDE. What's the best way to migrate the old libraries? E.g. I can see that the new version has better Ethernet support so should I leave my old libraries behind and recode to use the new ones or copy the old files across?

Um, well, I'm not an expert, but... I think the new release 1.0 breaks pretty much every library in one way or another. You won't be able to use your old libraries.

Thanks! I thought as much - hopefully there won't be too much damage is done! :fearful:
