Is there a way to subscribe to a forum, such that I'll receive a daily email of all threads that have been updated or created? This forum software seems to be a little bit crippled...
Yeah I wish it was phpBB 3 or something more modern.
I'm happy to upgrade... any volunteer to migrate users and messages to the new forum?
I bet nobody wants to do it because it's hell
enjoy yabb
PS: you can instruct the forum to email you every time something gets added to a forum or topic

It may be hell but its still better than using YaBB.

I can't even tell you how many times I looked for that stupid little button. Of course it's right there...
If we're talking about migrating, how about a forum that allows two-way email, instead of just web-based forums?

Thats called a mailing list, not a forum.
And they already have one.

I know, I'm so old fashioned. I really loathe web-based forums. There are some two-way email/forum gateways, probably available as plugins rather than in core code, but I'm pretty sure phpBB has something like that.
Where's this Arduino mailing list?
The Arduino developers list is at: http://mail.arduino.cc/mailman/listinfo/developers_arduino.cc
It's for discussions of changes to the Arduino software (and hardware): APIs for new functions, changes to the environment, etc.
