Because I haven't found any existing alarms that do what the arduino version does. Plus the most valuable parts of my bike ( batteries/cargo) are easy access and I live close to one of the highest crime cities in the state if not the country, I'd rather have something that warns via proximity as well as touch and can integrate the camera into its text alerts.
