supplying 6V for servo

hi,

i want to supply 6V to my servo (Towardpro MG996R digi hi torque). Lets say i connected 12 V from power jack but which pin can give 6V to the servo because 5 V pin regularly supply 5V and Vin pin is a input for supplying voltage . im a little bit confused.

You should look on ebay for a UBEC voltage regulator, or make a power setup using a 7805 regulator chip and a diode like below to reduce the voltage.
