Greetings,
(I am also asking this here because, while not being ONLY about Arduino, I am sure that most members of this forum feel that this is a relevant isue, and can give us the right pointers to proceed)
I am working on an European H2020 research project about all kinds of "Digital DIY", be it with Arduino or any other (preferably open!) product. One of the things we want to study and try to evaluate in a systematic way is the current support and awareness, across Europe, of Digital DIY but OUTSIDE of makerspaces, fablabs and similarly "geeky", relatively restricted communities.
What we need is examples of such support and awareness (or lack thereof) in/by European local administrations,
schools, ngos, consumer and industry associations, chambers of commerce, etc. Even "simple" pointers to relevant projects,
studies, contact people are OK, because this stuff is HARD to find with search engines! Apart from language issues, relevant documents are often filed under "social innovation" and just about any other term.
The official request, explaining how to send the information, is on the DiDIY blog. A shorter/simpler version is on my own blog, instead.
Thank you in advance for any feedback, and help to spread the request (even translating it, if you want!)
Marco
