Supporting Thermal printer though Arduino via USB (Not TTL Serial)

Hi all,

I would like to know about the feasibility of connecting Arduino (any model) with thermal printer via USB.
With TTL Serial it is possible, but i would like to know about USB connectivity.

Thank you.

With one of the ARM models this is theoretically possible but definitely nothing the beginner. You should be an expert in USB low level programming and you must have a good documentation of the USB protocol used by your printer. It's usually easier by factors to just use a Linux based embedded computer because the drivers for Linux usually exist or at least are much easier to write (because the low level stuff is handled by the OS).

Thanks pylon. It seems RPi would be a better choice for working with USB POS Thermal printers.
