Sure Electronic 32*8 LED

I recently downloaded a library from Adafruit to run my 328 LED display. But the library provided by them is a 2416. I can get it to light up but it is not fully compatible with the LED i have. Also, the way the LED display is displaying the character is vertical but I need it to be horizontal.

The code I use is the one they provided below(I took out the the ones I don’t need):

void setup() {
Serial.begin(9600);
matrix.begin(HT1632_COMMON_16NMOS);
matrix.fillScreen();
delay(500);

//Also I want to display text on the LED. But it is out of the range i guess?
matrix.clearScreen();
// draw some text!

matrix.setTextSize(1); // size 1 == 8 pixels high
matrix.setTextColor(1); // ‘lit’ LEDs

if (matrix.width() <= 24) {
matrix.setCursor(0, 0); // start at top left, with one pixel of spacing
matrix.print(“Tailgate”);
// matrix.setCursor(0, 4); // next line, 8 pixels down
// matrix.print(“Backoff”);
matrix.writeScreen();
} else if (matrix.width() > 24) {
matrix.setCursor(0, 0); // start at top left, with one pixel of spacing
matrix.print("Tailgate ");
// matrix.setCursor(0, 4); // next line, 8 pixels down
// matrix.print(“Backoff.”);
matrix.writeScreen();
}

As you can see the picture I have.

FIRST
a) Use the “</>” Button to format your code properly.
b) Also, add the included H files

How can you inform the HT1632 that your display is formatted “32 x 8” ?

Did you try HT1632_COMMON_8NMOS vs HT1632_COMMON_16NMOS ?

EDIT:
Maybe, the AdaFruit HT1632 Library is Hard Coded for a 16 x 24 display?
You have a 32 x 8 display.
