Swapping between animations for NeoPixel using IRremote

Hello all,

I am trying to swap between different animation voids using an IR remote.

I have already decoded and written down the HEX codes from each of the buttons but am stuck on how to implement this into my code for the two animations i want to switch between.

At the moment this just runs the first animation 'NewKITT' and then the second 'CylonBounce'.

How would i now implement a function which would allow me to press the number 1 on the remote and it plays 'NewKITT' on a loop and if i press 2 on the remote it then plays 'CylonBounce' on loop instead.

Your animation functions written in blocking style and uses a lot of delays.
Until one animation ends, you can't switch it to another.

To solve this problem, the animation functions need to be rewritten in a non-blocking style, using millis and the finite state machine approach.
