Sweat and a Lie Detector and conditional codes

Hello

We are making an arduino lie detector that will play a different sound due to the amount of sweat on somebodies hand. How can we make it play these different sounds due to different levels of sweat using a wave shield?

Thanks for the help!

I don't think you can use a wave shield to measure the amount of sweat on a person.

How do you intend to measure that?

http://www.ladyada.net/make/waveshield/examples.html has a bunch of examples showing how to play different files under a variety of conditions. Pick an example like what you want to do, like maybe the "Play the wave file only when the button is held down" and adapt that to "Play the wave file when the victim lies his ass off".

thanks for replying.

We are trying to modify this lie detector http://cranklin.wordpress.com/2011/09/22/how-to-build-a-homemade-lie-detector/. We want to modify it so that it plays sounds off the wave shield rather than the buzzer. We have a series of sound files and we want it to play a different one when it detects a change or a lie.

Thanks for any help!

There are two parts to your project. One is measuring responses as a person lies/sweats/whatevers. Are you able to do that? What rang of values do you get? How fast do they change? By how much?

The second part is to map those values to the number of files that you have, and play one of those files - either part way through until which file to play changes, until the file has ended, or over and over until the file to play changes. Which one you want to do is not clear.

hey

We realized that this isn't really gonna work with our current skill levels and resources available. Tghanks a million.

And, you're not willing to expand them?

Neither part of the project seems that difficult. Certainly not the part about playing the appropriate .wav file.

If it really is beyond your skill level, fine. But, if it's just laziness, that's not OK.

You don't have a couple of resistors and a bit of wire? Strange.
