Switch left/right, not on/off

Hi there!

I have an "input power" and need to switch (or route) it between to possible outputs via mosfets. They never have to be switched off or on both at the same time. Is there a possibility to do this with a circuit so I only have to use one digital out or maybe even only one mosfet? I'm sure if it is possible there is a circuit with a name and I just don't know how to find it...

Thanks!

Cheers!

You want someting that is SPDT single-pole double-throw

See:

The circuit is called a h-bridge. Normally this is used for reversing polarity but if you take each individual output sepratly it will behave like you want it to.

Or a changeover relay?
