Yea have tried it out and it works. Waiting for my arudino to test things and see how well all goes.
What is the part# of the SSR and what is the AC load to be switched?
its the one that is showed and is available on ebay or here but is the 20A version i have
What AC load?
oops sorry forgot that. Its a MOT open circuit volts - 3v and 1000A
DC Motor? 3V and 1000mA?
Nope not a motor. That would be used for apot welding 18650 cells.
OK, "I guess" its a transformer load with 3VAC, 1000A secondary (3KVA).
Sorry, I'm outta here.
We shouldn't be guessing at this stuff ... need a lot more details including circuit diagram and you have not demonstrated enough experience. I could be wrong, but anyways, good luck and be extremely safe if working with AC.
Yea i guess that is how it is called from an electrical engineers point of view. I work in IT industry so not very
well versed with Electrical terms and calculations.
The circuit diagram is what i had posted at the start of this thread. The Arduino is just sends out a pulse for 50ms(pre-Weld) and a second pulse for 100ms(actual Weld). The circuit is quite simple Arduino does all the stuff. The SSR is part of the circuit to which the Arduino sends the pulses.
Hope you've got a clear idea.
Thanks i get it. Was always burned into my head that HIGH = 1 = CLOSED and LOW = 0 = LOW. Should get used to the Arduino terms and ideas. so far its been great.
