Hi all,
I am looking for the physically smallest possible way to switch AC (standard 110-120) with the board. I have both inductive and resistive loads (AC gearmotors and lights), so i am inclined to stay away from triacs. I've used reed relays in the past primarily to switch DC, and while i know some can switch AC with the board's voltage, I am unsure about the amperage and induction issues in this usage. Typically, I've done this task with the usual 1.5x2.25 top-terminal SSR but i want to avoid the bulk this time (and maybe the cost, i might need ten of them for this project).
I do remember a friend using a smaller box-and-pin/PC board type SSR before, but I can't seem to scare up a part number or supplier on the internets for a relay that isn't overkill.
Thanks!
