I ran the 32x32 GIFs on a Teensy3.2
An STM32F103 has only got 20kB SRAM. So I tried the sketch on a STM32L476 (with 128kB RAM)
It built with 49kB of Flash, 23kB SRAM on the L476. I never looked at the Teensy Build size.
The Zero and Due have got sufficient RAM.
I will have to investigate. A TFT does not need any RAM (but a small buffer is useful). So it comes down to the LZW decoder requirements. I don't see any hope for an AVR.
The 32x32 looks pretty silly on a 240x320 screen.
