switching power supply Software

Hello to all.
I want to design a switching power supply that its power is about 500w?
Is there any software to design switching power supply like that? I have PI Explorer, but that is good for low power.tnx.

Hi,

I want to make a rocket ship. Do I need software?

Aka, you start explaining what you want (specs, questions etc) and what you have so far (schematic mandatory, code etc).

Nobody can help me?tnx.

What is "PI Explorer"?

Is there any software to design switching power supply like that?

Not that I know of. Designing and building a switching power supply of that amount of power is complicated and dangerous. Not recommended unless you really know what your doing.

Most computer power supplies fit that description and used ones are often easy to find at little or no cost.

No, not if you don't start to explain thing...

For a nice and "friendly" PM from the TS:

please be silent if you couldn't understand question :o :o :o :o

No, why would I? It's a public forum and you're the one asking unspecified questions. Don't you think it's for a reason nobody else posted something you found useful? Is it really to hard for you to explain you're problem better? WE don't have a crystal ball and we can't watch over your shoulder so you're explanation in words here has to make clear what the problem is

This guy makes a lot of threads.

But I'm glad each time he does because it means he hasn't killed himself yet.

How difficult is it to understand that OP is looking for a software package that allows him/her to design a switch mode power supply?

It's the same question as "is there software to design schematics". Normal question in my opinion.

If you look at the websites of the major swmode psu chip designers (LT, Maxim, Texas, National etc etc)
you'll find a load of application notes and example designs.

LT even supply a sw design suite - obviously using their devices.

But such designs are not easy, and generally require an intimate knowledge of eg magnetics.

A specialist job - but have a go if you like ( and mind your fingers!)

I wouldn't - you can probably buy something suitable, and save youself weeks of work
and considerable expenditure in blown up components and PCB prototypes . ( you can't lash these things up as a birdsnest)
