hello,
i'm using an arduino to control some circuit bent toys resp. messages sent from SuperCollider are processed via processing which sends control-voltages to my toys. so far everything is working wonderfully. however, i'm missing one thing: i need to be able to switch on / off my toys from SuperCollider and i'm pretty clueless on how to do that (i'm very new to electronics...).
i've searched the tutorials and other pages on the web but couldn't quite find what i needed. e.g. i found this example: http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/Switch. but it seems hardly applicable in my case... i've been able to run my toy powered by the aruino itself but it seemed a bit weak. wouldn't it be possible to interrupt / close an external circuit? (e.g. the connection to the toy's power-supply / battery)
can anyone maybe point me in the right directions? are there maybe examples around on how to do what i want?
thanks for any hint,
stefan
