Hi, is there a way to open multiple ino files within a single instance of the IDE2 as currently it opens up multiple instances of the IDE2 and can take up screen space etc.
eg, if I select open or new from the file menu it opens up within the current instance in a new tab.
No, this is not possible. The reason is that, even though single file sketches are most common, sketches can also consist of multiple files. All those files are compiled. So when you open a sketch, it's very important that all its files and only its files are shown in the Arduino IDE. Otherwise, it would get very confusing for beginners to understand what code was being compiled.
