Tablet or similar device recommendations for programming Arduino Lilypads

Hello,

I wanted to take our library makerspace a step further and have something available that the teens can use to write their own code. Any recommendations for tablet/IPAD, operating systems etc. like devices that are compatible with Arduinos?

Apple makes decent tablets,I've owned a i iPad Pro, it's pretty great
