The patent hasn't been granted yet, so you're not done yet as far as i can see from that picture.

That function has been blocked for a few weeks now, but today a saw 2 pictures appear in posts again.

Why bother? It's a public document, so anyone can get a copy of the original.

It is linked from an external website.
The problem you describe only affects images 'attached' to a post (and stored on the Arduino servers).
I regularly post pictures because I host them myself. Took a few months to work out how to do that though.
I initially thought the forum would be smart enough to do it.
