I have looked through the internet, but can't find exactly what I am looking for. This is my first post (Noobie), so please forgive if this was already covered and I missed it. I am building a talking skull for Halloween using an Arduino Uno. I need a recorded message to play back and control the servo that moves the skull's jaw. How do I do that? I can find sound shields that I assume would work, but how do they control the jaw servo?
I don't offhand, but do know a great place to start your quest.
The general idea is to move the servo only as long as there is audio playing. That way, longer words or phrases move in time longer as a jaw would and vice versa. It's a popular way to do it. I'm sure it's possible to get it more precise but I don't have an idea how to do that.
For the circuit designer members, take a look at this, what do you think? (Not my work, btw). I'll post it in case it's useful or fun for anyone.

(those aren't direct links, google them yourself since I don't want to post links to other forums in the Arduino one, seems rude in a way.)
Also, according to Scary Terry, this circuit is more easily purchased from cowlicious designs (note, I'm just relaying info here, I have never dealt with this company) https://www.cowlacious.com/
