I have an IR sensor mounted on a regular DC motor. The problem is that the sensor's wires tangle or wrap around one another with each motor's rotation, so are there any sort of connectors that I could use to prevent this problem? or any solution?
Thank you in advance!

Well, that is a slip ring assembly all right, but where does the motor drive shaft go?
Of course, we could do with an explanation of what this "regular DC motor" actually is - is it scanning at 30 RPM or 3000 RPM?
If the number of turns is strictly limited (like 1 or 2) then spiral some ribbon cable around the shaft,
like a clock spring?
There's always wireless modules and battery power too.
