taser glove

would it be possible to use an arduino lilypad to create a taser glove wit flex sensors so when you bend your hand the taser activates?

if you are asking if an arduino can sense finger movement, and based on sensing a thing, do something, then yes.

I'm pretty sure the likely outcome would be you tazing yourself.

With a little luck it'd arc to some part of the electronics and trash the Arduino, so it fails "on" and you're getting tazed by a glove on your hand, and nobody can help you get it off because they'd get tazed in the process.

This is a terrible idea.

It is entirely possible, and pretty straightforward - except that involving a tazer means you need to be careful about insulating the high voltage from everything else, not least yourself.

Also, tazers are regulated in some states, be sure to check the legality.

Delta_G:
A taser (Thomas A Swift's Electric Rifle) is a device that fires out barbs with wires attached to them. It is different from a "Stun Gun" that directly shocks someone from the device itself. So it wouldn't be that hard to deal with insulating the electronics since they'll be at the end of a long wire.

let us know how you make out. we could offer more warnings, but there is just some human drive to learn things for yourself.
this is an odd request, but could you pee on an electric fence before you test the taser ? I for one would like to hear your comparison to something I have personal experience with.
