Technical Description of the Mega 2560

Where is the document that introduces what the Arduino Mega 2560 board is, what it is used for, and explains all of the various items in the image at:

This image of the Mega 2560 board has all the connectors labeled. But this image assumes that you are an experienced user, e.g. the following technical terms are not defined: ICSP Pinout, IDE, Serial Pin, Analog Pin, Control, Physical Pin, Port Pin, Interrupt Pin, Communication, Power, Analog In. All of those terms, and many others, need a straight-forward explanation.

Questions:
What voltage, wattage, and current can the pins sense?
What does ICSP, PWM, Communication mean?
How do the RX, TX, and L light emitting diodes differ? What do they signal?

Please point me to the document. Thanks Tom

Hi, See this page for details:

...and of course here is detailed product description Arduino Mega 2560 Rev3 — Arduino Official Store.

If you want to "dig deep" you can check the datasheet for the ATmega chip. You won't want to read all 400 pages, but you can check specific things like, what's the minimum voltage for a logic-high, or the maximum voltage for a logic-low, or how fast can the analog-to-digital converter sample, etc.?

A single document won't help, instead a library is required for your studies.

Start with electric, electronic and maths fundamentals, advance to logic and boolean algebra, digital and analog electronic circuits, communication theory, only to name a few basic topics you should know in order to understand the answers to your questions.

But I assume that you only are trolling, by enumerating a number of buzzwords. Can you enumerate also your skills in above areas?

Or simply get an Arduino Starter Kit and start exploring that mysterious land yourself.
