Telit SE880 GPS chip

Hi everybody!

Does any of you have experience with the Telit SE880 GPS chip?
I have integrated it in a project I am working on, but I cannot seem to get an Acknoledgement over I2C from the GPS chip (is: ACK = 1, should be: ACK=0).

How did you find out about the (missing) ACK?

Pullup resistors present?

Is that chip compatible with the Arduino Vcc level?

I'd run an I2C address checker, to find out whether the slave responds at all.
