Tempature sensor

Hi everyone,

I'm newbie here, so don't laugh at me a lot. :D

I was wiring and soldering tempature sensor DHT11 and I wasnt got any results.

All of the time serial monitor was showing up case -2 aka timeout error......

I tried change libraries and etc.... But one day I tried to check circuit of sensor with multimeter.

I touched VCC and GND and nothing, any resisstance.. So, I broke sensor when I was soldering it, yeah?..

I'm so lazy to wait one more sensor from ebay... Maybe I should take simple thermistor and program sketch to count celsius from resisstance. But question is: themistor can be used as tempature sensor below zero celsius?

Thanks

Simple answer: yes. The first datasheet I found of a random 10k thermistor had a recommended operating temperature range of -40C to +125C. You might also want to look at the TMP36. Leo..
