Temperature sensor interface with heating pad

This is a small side project I'm working on. What I'm basically trying to do is to read the temperature values from a TMP36 sensor and based off that reading turn a heating pad on or off. So far, I am getting the temperature readings correctly. I am now confused on how to hook up the heating pad to the overall circuit. Will I need an external power supply both the Arduino and heating pad or will the Arduino be sufficient enough?

Parts I have 1. https://www.adafruit.com/product/1481 -- Heating Pad 2. https://www.adafruit.com/product/1481 -- Temperature Sensor 3. https://www.adafruit.com/product/355 -- N-channel power MOSFET

You need a external powersupply because the pad draws up to 1A, the Arduino can only provide about 0.5A. About the wiring, take a look at the Schematic I draw. (The values of the resistors don’t need to be exactly as shown)
