Temperature sensors, and purchasing DS18B20

I'm wondering what the sensor quality is here. I'm new to Arduino, and am playing with a temperature sensor-based system (as, I imagine, a lot of people do). I've got a LEO, and some bits and pieces, but what I'm thinking about now is some temp-sensors. I've looked at the DS18B20, which fits the bill and would support sensing over a longer distance than many of the short-distance ones I've seen.

The question is, you can pick these things up from Farnell for £5-7 each, whereas there are some which come 10 for £10 on Amazon. Now I'm keen for a good deal, but is there an obvious issue with the cheaper models, or is this just someone buying thousands and selling them off in 10s? The other question is, is there a difference between the DS18B20, and DS18B20+?

Thanks

The 'plus' is perhaps written wrong on that website. I can't find the 'plus' in the datasheet.

Why pay so many ?
You can buy 10 for 6 pounds, and that includes P&P.

They are the same, and they all are equally accurate.

Oh wow - brilliant, might have to check out eBay more! Thanks!

It says the "+" denotes a lead free ("lead" as in the element) part.

I'd agree that you're getting the same part at a lower price when you buy it from overseas. It seems that they can just get their parts cheaper in China.

Next day delivery, free postage, vast range, never make mistakes, that's worth paying for in my book.
